Well, I've made several changes to my template in Blogger, including adding commenting functionality, but none of it is showing up in my page yet. If they're not up by Monday, I'll seek help from Blogger's support or hunt up a copy of We Blog, a book on blogging that our Professional Tech group published late last year.

Meanwhile, the great outdoors is calling my name. It's been kind of drizzle-y in Indy for the last few days. After such a beautiful last weekend, I'm feeling pretty cooped up. I stumbled and twisted my ankle walking the Monon last weekend, but I think it has almost completely healed, and I'm looking forward to getting out there and risking injury again. Belinda and I are planning on buying a basketball goal tonight or tomorrow morning, so at the very least I'll be out shooting hoops. Knowing Belinda, that's probably the only thing we'll be doing this weekend. #

OK. I finally figured out how to get my blog description up on this page, but now it's showing up twice. GRRRR! Also, I don't know how to do links to other blogs, put up reader comments, and upload images or other files to my blog. This might not be something you can do with the free version of BlogSpot. If anyone knows the answers to any of these questions and wants to help me out, please e-mail me at atalanta24@hotmail.com. Thanks. #       ( 9:28 AM ) Melody
This is my first post. It will be short. My name is Melody. I'm an acquisitions editor for John Wiley & Sons. I work on the For Dummies tech books.

Biographical:

I'm 26 years old. I'm gay. My partner and I have been together 8 years. We just bought a house together last year, which we're pouring most of our money into because it turned out to be a surprise fixer-upper. I do love the house, though, and it gets more beautiful every day.

I'm the incredible shrinking woman because I've been on a new weight loss program for about 3 months. It's doctor-supervised by my partner's endocrinologist (we're both on it). So far I've lost ~35 lbs, 2 pants sizes, 2 shirt sizes, and 1 bra size. I've got about 15 lbs more to go till I reach my happy weight. I've got 40 lbs to go to reach the ideal weight range for my height. Drop in and see me again soon. #
