Breaking it down with the bad boys of Starbucks

OK. This is ridiculous. I need to post-- #1. Because this outlet is good for me, and #2. Because I want whoever's out there reading to keep reading. I'm making some nice new friends this way. Bear with me. I might be a bit hard to follow for a while.

Last night I went to Starbucks in Carmel to listen to a bad acoustic cover band. Actually, the guitar was pretty terrific. It was the singing that sucked, but I didn't care because I was having so much fun. It was something on the order of a campfire sing-a-long. No one showed up. It was just me and Belinda and the family of the band. You know you're a lost cause when you're contemplating joining a fan club, and the president, treasurer, and secretary of that fan club is someone's grandma.

I think I'll probably show up to sing along again next Wednesday. Maybe by then the lead singer will have learned all the words to John Mellencamp's Jackie Brown. #
